Mijn objecten zijn een studie naar ruimte in de breedste zin van het woord, het concept ruimte is de basis. Bij deze objecten spelen zowel 2 dimensionaal als 3 dimensionaal perspectief een rol en bepaald de lichtval het uiteindelijke beeld. De objecten bestaan voornamelijk uit door en door gekleurd MDF, een product uit o.a. de meubelindustrie. Dit materiaal heeft praktisch geen eigen zichtbare structuur en is daarom in mijn ogen een geschikt materiaal om het concept uit te beelden zonder dat het materiaal zelf afleidt.
My objects are a study of space in the broadest sense, the concept of space being the basis. Both 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional perspective play a role in these objects, and the incidence of light determines the final image. The objects consist mainly of thoroughly colored MDF, a product from the furniture industry. This material has practically no visible structure of its own and is therefore in my eyes a suitable material to depict the concept without the material itself being distracting.
